Description
Provision of theoretical background and practical skills in the peripheral and truncal blocks that most Anesthetists would be expected to be able to perform.
This course will cover:
- Ultrasound guided regional blocks
Upper limb blocks (Interscalene, Supraclavicular, Infraclavicular, Clavipectoral blocks)
Truncal blocks (Transversus abdominal plane, Rectus sheath, Erector spinae, PECl, PEC ll, Serratus, Pectoral-intercostal and Paravertebral plane blocks)
Lower limb blocks (Femoral, Lateral femoral cutaneous, obturator, Sciatic and Popliteal nerves block, Adductor canal and PENG Blocks)

9:00-9:30 am: Sonoantomy of upper limb blocks
9:30-10:00 am: Sonoantomy of lower limb blocks
10:00-10:30 am : Sonoantomy of truncal blocks
10:30-10:45 am : coffee break
10:45-11:45 am : Hands on scanning for upper limb blocks ( Interscalene, Supraclavicular, Infraclavicular, Clavipectoral blocks)
11:45-12:45 am : Hands on scanning for lower limb blocks ( Femoral, Lateral femoral cutaneous, obturator, Sciatic and Popliteal nerves block, Adductor canal and PENG Blocks)
12:45-1:45 pm: prayer
1:45-3:45 pm : Hands on scanning for truncal blocks ( Transversus abdominal plane, Rectus sheath, Erector spinae, PECl, PEC ll, Serratus , Pectoral-intercostal and Paravertebral plane blocks)
3:45-4:15: Lunch
4:15- 5:00 pm : Needle orientation on manikin
